Tracey Tshabalala is a multi talented 24 year old from Pretoria who is following her dream into the world of theatre and music.Miz Tracey as she is fondly known by her audience is a Live performance graduate from AFDA majoring in Music performance and theatre.She spends most of her time composing abd arranging music.Her music influences are Jill Scott,Malae,Erica Badu,Aya,Shade,Lira to name a few.Her music style is a mixture of neo soul and afro pop."i make music that speaks to the people"she says.When shes not on stage perfoming her own songs,she is in theatre doing what she loves, acting. She has featured on Mzansi Magic's "Teenage Games 1 and 2" and "Diary of a Play Boy" and other short films that have gained her good reception. Her acting career kick started at the tender age of 19 years old while studying Journalism at MGI in Midrand which beared fruitful as she was later was casted for the South African musical, Sophiatown which showcased at the Market Theatre as well as the State theatre in 2016/2017.She was introduced to music at a young age,singing in church and in highschool,she was part of the wordsworth high choir that sang alongside Lira at Carnival City which was largly televised.She followed suit and started doing back up vocals for upcoming artists in the industry.Then branched into making her own music.She then started teaching music In 2012 at schools And the State Theatre in 2016.She was a finalist in the Spar Music Vocalist Competition and came 5th position out of 80 contestants. She has performed on many stages as a class act,running with the name Miz Tracey the Entertainer.Singer,acting,Mcing, presenting and vocal coach are one of her many titles she has under her belt.As such, Miz Tracey is currently busy with her debut album 'My Art' set to be released early July this year.And also has done another season at the Market Theatre of Sophiatown.Miz Tracey joined Mmino League as a co-host.Currently she is the Musical Director for the Mmino League Music Competition Season 3.
