Uno July

Description

Uno July was born in Gugulethu during the early-80s. He wakes up every morning, pondering on whose studio to visit so that he can fulfill his passion and dedication as a rapper. Originally a half-member of the legendary Cape Town-based hip hop outfit 'Ill Skillz', he recently rose to prominence after releasing his solo debut effort titled the 'Best Kept Secret EP'. During the first quarter of 2015, he followed up by a releasing critically-acclaimed mixtape a year later titled 'Uno 'n Only'.

Since the inception of Ill Skillz back in 2005, Uno July has been active along with his creative-partner Jimmy Flexx. They recorded a catalogue of 7 projects together within a 10 year span. They have shared stages with international and local artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, AKA and Khuli Chana to name a few.
